[A soft woof, and the camera focuses on Neku. NOT in his hotel room for once. And NOT even in Goldenrod. Looks like someone finally actually USED Fly to get somewhere. In fact, he's in New Bark Town, by the little dock. Blueberry the Dragonair is trying to get his attention, but Neku is too busy: juggling luggage.]

So ever since I lost to Whitney I've been thinking. Hanging around Goldenrod all the time is making me stagnate. Maybe a change of scenery will- Berry, what?

[The Dragonair cries softly, bunting it's nose against one of the balls on his belt]

No, I can't let Lemon out right now. They only allow a few pokemon out and apparently the goo is one of those things that are against the rules. You're the one that wanted to see the sea.

Wehooo....!

Anyway. I'm heading to Kanto to train for a few weeks. If anyone needs... anyone needs me they can- Damn it, Berry!

[The long snake-like dragon, wanting comfort due to being away from her partner, has decided to try and crawl up Neku's shirt to hide, coiling around his luggage and torso, her beaded tail twapping him in the head over and over as she tries to get comfy]

Ngh, Sota, help!

[The Lucario's muzzle comes on scene as he shuts off the feed]

That's an understatement. They hatched around the same time and are super clingy. Hell, they've already managed a nest of eggs and I expect more before too long at this rate.

Clingy or not, it's probably better that they like each other than the alternative...

[He sighs, glancing over at Rikki as she resettles against Kaneki's side. The only reason she isn't sneering over at Carrie right now is 1) because she knows he's watching and 2) he didn't at all appreciate their little fight he had to break up just now before they tore the room apart.]

And the eggs sound like a good bonus, too.

My Persian and female Smeargle are like that. The Persian likes to steal eggs too which REALLY doesn't help.

Your Persian steals eggs from your other Pokemon?

Yeah. She doesn't HURT them, but she likes to nest on them.

I see...I guess your Smeargle doesn't appreciate that too much.

[Good intentions or not, mothers are protective of their babies.]

She can breed with most of my male pokemon, but she's not interested in them. I gave her the Archen egg I just bought and that seems to have calmed things down for now.

[He turns the camera to show the giant cat with an egg between her paws. Grooming it]

[Well that's both endearing...and really silly.]

It's so strange how that works, here...I never imagined I would see a cat being protective over an egg.

Just as weird as seeing dogs lay eggs I guess. Pokemon make no sense.

Not really...but seeing as everything hatches from eggs, I guess it's just something I'll get used to eventually.

You said you were heading to...Kanto? That's a different region from this one, right?

Yeah, just across the sea. Apparently there's some different pokemon species and gyms you can't see over here.

I nearly ended up going there myself when I first got here...It seemed like the better option to traveling on the routes, since it was snowing pretty badly at the time.

I eventually decided against it because the ticket price would have used up most of the money I had.

[He...wasn't sure if he wanted to risk going broke that early.]

I don't blame you. The wild plants here are pretty unsafe to eat. You'd be SOL really fast.

The weather isn't nearly as bad now as it was, though, so you should probably be fine traveling. Especially if you're just going to be on a boat for a few days.

Yeah, and I've been saving up cash. Thanks to my Persian money isn't usually a problem.

That's right...I think I read about something like that, when I was reading about what Pokemon you can find in Goldenrod. Meowth have an attack that...involves them throwing coins, right?

Yeah. It's pocket change, but two of my Smeargle know it too, so it adds up.

I can imagine that would be pretty useful, especially over time...or if you're traveling and don't have the chance to work at a job steadily.

Exactly. It's not enough to live on by itself, but between that that selling eggs I've been managing pretty well.

That's good to hear. I'm still trying to find somewhere to work, myself. I worked at the Pokemon Center for a while but it...wasn't the job for me.

I'm still hoping I can get a job at the bookstore's café, maybe, so...we'll see how that turns out.

Thank you. I think it would be nice to work there, if I can get the chance. It reminds me a lot of the place I used to work back home.

I was, actually. It wasn't that bad of a job, while I was there.

Whoa, really?

Someone I really look up to back home is also a barista, so I guess I'm kinda biased there.
