[It's cold. It's stupid cold. And while it might be a short break int he snow, it's still not anything anyone should wanna be out in.

Neku is out in it, his comm shaking and not showing his face well.]

Okay... Okay I don't normally do this kinda thing, but we've been looking for hours with no luck-

[-we being himself and his Riolu, who is in his jacket, only his little head poking up under Neku's chin. The little dog cups his paws together and howls out through them]

RIIII-OOOOOO!!

[Neku looks surprised by this, but keeps talking]

One of my Smeargle, Banksy, got out and I can't find him. He's like, only a week old he can't be out in this by himself... He doesn't have a pawprint on his back and is really... energetic. Please, if anyone's seen him-

[He shakes his head and keeps looking, they have snow broadcasted tomorrow, after all]

[Luckily for Neku, today Kaneki decided it was a good day- or a decent day, judging by the fact that we aren't getting copious amounts of hail- to head out to the bookstore. And now that he's actually gotten back on track he's hopefully headed in the right direction...

But what he isn't expecting is to see green paint on the sidewalk. It's enough to get him to slow down because he recognizes it pretty quickly as being Smeargle paint, since his own isn't shy about using it.

He looks up and around with a frown, wondering if the culprit is still around somewhere. He hasn't checked the Network since he set out so he actually doesn't know about Banksy, but considering that Smeargle aren't wild around Goldenrod...]

[Following the paint isn't hard, since it hasn't snowed today to cover it up. Banksy isn't even trying to hide, splattering paint on a trashcan]

Smear...!

[Kaneki jumps a little when the baby suddenly makes an appearance, prompting him to stop a few feet away to avoid startling him into running. He can tell this one is young, remembering what Neku told him about the paw prints on their backs and everything.

He takes a small step forward, offering Banksy a small grin.]

Hey there. What are you up to, huh?

[He barks, holding up his tail. Well isn't it obvious, bro?]

[He moves slowly, bending down to Banksy's level.]

It looks like you're having fun. Where's your trainer, though?

[His ears droop even more then usual- He's not really 100% anymore. He THOUGHT he knew the way back but...]

[Kaneki might not be too familiar with Pokemon yet, but that look is impossible to miss.]

Hey, it's alright. I'll stay with you, if you want. Your trainer is probably looking for you.

[Banksy tries to look like he doesn't care, but a cold wind blows and he shivers... and finally runs over to cling to Kankei's leg]

[He blinks before his expression shifts into a gentle smile, his hands open and inviting as he holds them out to the Smeargle, incase he wants to be picked up.]

Come on. We can go look for them.

[Banksy barks and jumps up into his arms. Oh yes, much warmer up here!]

[Kaneki hefts the baby Pokemon gently in his arms as he looks up and down the street he just came from, holding the Smeargle close to keep him warm.]

I don't blame you for getting lost. This town is really big...I've been getting lost in it too. But I'll help you find your trainer.

[He whines softly, cuddling in as they walk.

Eventually there's the sound of someone calling]

Banksy...!

[Kaneki blinks, looking up at the voice.]

Banksy...is that your name?

[Luke didn't hear the network broadcast, but heard the Riolu and the end bit of Neku's request, He's got a scarf wrapped around his face--he had to undo it a bit to talk properly, so the first half of his question is slightly garbled.]

Smeargle? One of the dogs with the paintbrush tail? I haven't seen any besides mine, but I can help you look.

Huh? Oh hey Luke... yeah it's the brother to the egg I sent you. So he's still really young...

Is there anywhere you haven't checked for him? I don't know where you have looked, but...

A few places, but Goldenrod isn't a small town.

[He knows very well how big it is, he keeps getting lost in it.]

[He'd only be an awful trainer if he intentionally put the thing outside, but he didn't, so he isn't...at least in that one aspect.]

Uh huh. "Banksy", right? I'll go back the way I came and see if I walked past him.

[And away he goes!]

[Veronica was an outdoors person. And even in the could as pokeballs weather, she was outside doing some sort of odd errand.

Of course, that was when the video came in. Throughout it, her expression was stern, concentrated. The cold didn't bother her.]

Smeargle, huh? Where do you suppose he is?

He can't have gone far with all the snow, so he has to still be in town. But...
