[Neku comes on screen, looking very unamused. A little bit of Goldenrod City, not far from the Game Corner, can be seen behind him, and at least he thought to turn his shirt inside out for this because what is buying more clothing?! He seems to be sitting on the sidewalk as people bustle by.

It's been a few hours since he woke up here and any Rockets in the area might have heard him demanding answers before just going outside to stew instead. Checking out the weird chat phone seemed wise, even if he has little interest in chatting with strangers. This might be the best way to find out where the hell he IS]

So, show of hands for every one stuck in this weird delusion.

[As he's talking a Meowth tottles up with a potion in it's paws, offering it to him]

Huh? Erm, thanks.

Okay, so it's too real to be a dream, but I guess just asking what's going on would be too easy.

[The cat comes back again with a... Clefairy keychain? With someone's keys still on it]

Where did you...? Whatever. Does EVERYONE have kleptomaniac animals or is it just m-

NO, NO PUT IT BACK!

[Oh that's a struggling pokeball yeah the cat doesn't look ashamed at all even with someone yelling in the background. Neku jolts up and grabs his pokemon and bolts, the feed cutting off]

[Meowth makes a rude guesture, and continues to angry-cat-hop out of Neku's grasp]

Hold. Still!

[Finally she leaps at Neku- hitting his second pokeball.

Feet and feet of black and purple snake as thick around as the teenagers comes pouring out]

Seviper!

[Apparently someone wants to even up the odds and Neku has lost control of his life]

[Nagi takes a short step back, his Pikachu bristling at the appearance of the massive snake. Another Pokemon he's not as familiar with, but a Pokemon just the same.

Gosh dangit Munashi, all he wanted was to go to the Game Corner today, that's it.

Though...he did want to get some training in, didn't he?

The boy straightens a little, running a hand over the top of the Vulpix's head, keeping hold of her for the moment while hi Pikachu eyes the Seviper, his cheeks beginning to spark defensively now. The Abra stays put, watching curiously from Nagi's other shoulder.]

Would you prefer to settle this with a battle? I don't think your Meowth is going to calm down otherwise.

[DO YOU WANNA FISTICUFFS WITH HIM NAGI?! Yeah someone hasn't been reading the information]

[...Ah. Okay, that explains a lot.

His expression shifts back into...either that's indifference or annoyance. Or a bit of both, perhaps.]

A battle. ..Though if you're a new arrival, that might not be in your best interest.

But Meowth seems very eager! Seviper is just... kinda grinning there, mouth open and bladed tail lashing like a giant fanged golden lab

Something about Nagi's tone makes him bristle though]

What's THAT supposed to mean? You think I couldn't take you?

Assuming that you just arrived, of course not.

[Nagi shut up the only Pokemon you have that's remotely stronger than anything Neku could bring out is your shark, and you're not going to send a shark out on dry land.

Of course, with Pokemon constantly on the brain 24/7, he's not immediately registering that Neku probably doesn't realize he means a Pokemon battle.

That, and if he's been here any length of time, one could assume that he would have picked up on that much already.]

[ 'He doesn't look that tough...'

But before Neku can do anything too stupid his Meowth jumps up on his shoulder and angrily points at his gear READ THE INFORMATION CHILD. He glares at her but does so-

-meanwhile his Seviper slithers closer to Nagi and his pokemon. HI GUYS ARE WE HAVING A PARTY?!]

[Be it far from Nagi to turn down a Pokemon battle- and one where he's certain he'd clean up with relatively little difficulty- but he does tense a bit when the Seviper comes closer. The Vulpix in his arms is still bristling at anything or anyone who comes near, and she's not in the mood for parties, thanks.

She growls deeply at the Seviper, while the Pikachu stays near Nagi's ankles, keeping an eye on the Meowth.

Nagi just sighs again, closing his eyes.]

So? Are you going to fight or not?

[Otherwise he'll just casually ollie out to the Game Corner since that's where he was headed to begin with because this is a giant waste of time.]

[Because he really wants to wipe that bored look off Nagi's face even though he himself has had it plenty of times before, erm.

But yeah he just had a crash course in battling he can do this!

Seviper blinks and slithers back to his trainer a little sad. Fighting is bad guys]

Fine then.

[Nagi doesn't smile, but something about the look on his face looks knowing. He bends over to put the Vulpix back down on the ground, who looks more than ready to fight herself.]

Beginners first.

[How noble of you, Nagi.]

Meowth.

[The cat was the one with the grudge, after all. He looks over her moves and smirks.]

Use Fake Out!

[Nagi's Vulpix stands her ground as her opponent approaches, flinching back as the attack hits. Nagi says and does nothing, watching quietly as she stands there, unable to retaliate for the moment.

Strangely enough, he doesn't seem overly bothered by the fact that the hit connected, or managed to make his Vulpix flinch...which might be warning in disguise.]

[Unlike in a video game, he can't see how much damage she did. And Nagi's bored expression sets him on edge. He either doesn't care that the fox was hurt, or is literally that much stronger that a lost turn means nothing.

Either option is kinda scary.

Better to play this smart]

Try a Growl.

[If the fox IS stronger, better to cut down her power- the fact that Growl will do jack and all against fire is lost on Neku. Meowth seems more then happy to snarl at her foe though]

[The Vulpix just watches the Meowth with an expression that's nearly as impassive as Nagi's own, before he tilts his head slightly.]

Confuse Ray.

[The Pokemon stiffens slightly, her ears perking as her eyes begin to glow a dull pink. She stares directly into the eyes of the Meowth facing her, her tails still lifted high, arched over her back.]

[Since she was growling at the Vulpix, her foes' eyes met her's easily, and Meowth begins to wobble. Wha....? where'd the fox go...?

Neku looks confused as well, for very different reason, especially when Meowth sees her own curled tail and chomps on it]

Wha-?!

Now, Munashi. Fire Spin.

[She lowers her head a little as her eyes stop glowing, opening her jaws and breathing out deeply. All at once, her entire body is suddenly coated in flames that spin around her.

Then, she charges headlong at Neku's Meowth.]

[She's way too confused to dodge, and yowls as the fire fox hits her straight on. That's a lot of damage- though she stumbles back to her feet. Barely]

Cat! Hold on...

[DAMN IT YOU MADE HIM CARE FOR HIS STUPID CAT]

[Isn't that sweet?

Well Nagi's smiling now, and that grin is anything but nice as he watches the flames around his Pokemon fade away.]

Ember.

[With a deep breath, more fire is suddenly coming her way- unless she manages to collect herself quickly enough to dodge, or retaliate.]

Fury Swipes!

[The last attack knocked some sense back into her, and she swipes at the incoming fire, batting her way through it, but only one attack left for Vulpix herself- aiming right for her pretty face]

[With the embers leaving her mouth, she doesn't have time to jerk back, and-

YIIP!!

She whines loudly and jerks back as the claws slash across her face and muzzle, causing her to reach up and paw at her nose.

And suddenly, before Nagi can give her another command, she lashes out unprompted with Quick Attack, launching herself right at the Meowth with fangs bared.]

[And Meowth runs to meet her with a Bite. It's a mess of fur and curly tails. What a debacle!]

[As the scuffle takes place, Nagi's Pikachu leaps back up onto his free shoulder, watching with his ears back. And the Abra seems to have fallen asleep, meanwhile.

Nagi stands with his arms at his sides to wait for the dust to clear. He's not happy that she attacked without provocation on his part, but there's not much he can do about it now.]

[And in the end Meowth is fainted, though she got some bites in there before she went down.

Neku runs over and picks her up]

Damnit... why'd you do that... stupid cat.

[After all of that, Munashi pushes herself to her feet shakily, and makes it over to Nagi before stumbling over at his feet. He leans down quickly and picks her up, eyeing the three long gashes across her face.]

...I would be requesting payment for your loss...but taking from your own isn't good form, is it?...

[He says that with an air of regret, almost, (and more to himself than to Neku directly) but Neku that shirt being turned inside out- along with arriving in Goldenrod with two Pokemon out of nowhere, considering the fact you can't catch Seviper on the routes on the way here- isn't fooling Nagi at all.

So basically he's not going to steal your lunch money today, Neku.]
